The Asthma UK Step Challenge  Terms and Conditions

These general  Terms apply to participation in  The Asthma UK Step Challenge. Registration for  The Asthma UK Step Challenge  and continued use of the Services indicates your agreement to these General Terms. We may change these General Terms from time to time, so please check back regularly. 

The Asthma UK Step Challenge  is a fundraising event open to UK and international residents. Asthma UK advises under 18's to obtain the consent of a parent or guardian before registering. No registration fee is required.  Registration for  The Asthma UK Step Challenge  2019  event  is via  the website. Registration opens on  2nd September 2019  and  closes on  30th  September 2019  and is only valid for the  2019  event, which will end at midnight on  31st  October 2019.  Asthma UK  reserves the right to suspend or close registration at any time for any reason in its absolute discretion. 

‘Asthma UK t-shirts’ advertised are available for the first 1,000 participants to raise £50. Asthma UK will endeavour to send the t-shirts within ten working days of receiving the monies but in cases where demand is high it may take longer.

All participants must register for  The Asthma UK Step Challenge  using their own valid  email and postal addresses.  All participants enter  The Asthma UK Step Challenge  entirely at their own risk and so  far  as  permitted by law,  Asthma UK  shall not be liable for any injury or loss which might occur as a result of their participation.  Asthma UK advises participants to check with their doctor or asthma nurse before partaking in the challenge.

Asthma UK is committed to protecting the privacy of your data, being open and transparent about how we use your data and giving you easy opportunity to tell us how you want your data to be used. We do not share or sell any personal details with third-parties for commercial purposes. Only registered participants are eligible to take part in  The Asthma UK Step Challenge.  All monies raised in connection with  The Asthma UK Step Challenge  are held on trust for  Asthma UK  and participants have a legal responsibility to ensure that all fundraising/sponsorship monies/donations received for  The Asthma UK Step Challenge  are paid to  Asthma UK. We ask that participants do this as soon as possible. 

All monies should be in GBP.

The Asthma UK Step Challenge  ends on 31st  October 2019  and fundraising should be sent to Asthma UK no later than  30th November 2019. You must deposit all fundraising monies and donations collected onto your  fundraising page which is established as part of  the registration process or send in money you have collected offline to Asthma UK. Donors may elect to claim Gift  Aid when submitting monies to  the fundraising page  and we encourage completion of the Gift Aid declaration wherever appropriate and where the donor is eligible.

Content created by  Asthma UK  –  Asthma UK  owns or licences from third parties  all of  the trademarks, copyright and other intellectual property that exists in the Services. You must not copy or reproduce in any form any of the graphics, logos or other material from our Services unless you have our specific permission.   

Content posted by you - Any content that you post to our Services (e.g. photos and videos) is your responsibility, and you must make sure that you have the necessary rights to post that content (e.g. by obtaining permission of copyright owners if necessary). By posting any content, you also give  Asthma UK  a non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free worldwide right to  use and reproduce that content. 

Keeping our website safe – We need your help to keep our Services safe. Therefore, you must comply with the following rules: You must not collect users’ content using automated means. You must not upload viruses or other malicious code. You must not bully, intimidate or harass anyone. You must not post any content that infringes or violates someone else’s rights, or otherwise violates the law, or that is hateful, threatening, pornographic or violent. 

Asthma UK’s disclaimer –  Asthma UK  takes great care with its Services and we endeavour to keep them accurate, error-free, and free of any offensive material. However, you use the Services at your own risk and  Asthma UK  will not be liable for any costs or losses you incur through your use of our Services. Whilst we may include on our Services links to third party websites or resources,  Asthma UK  is not responsible for such third parties and you use those websites or resources at your own risk. 

Asthma UK’s rights –  Asthma UK  may remove any content posted by  you or  prevent access by you to our Services if you do not comply with these General Terms. Any failure by  Asthma UK  to enforce our rights under these General Terms if you do not comply is not a waiver and we remain entitled to enforce our rights in relation to that or any other non-compliance by you.
